Dr. Neil Lesinski was appointed superintendent of Community High School District 155 in July 2023, following six years of service as principal of Cary-Grove High School. He currently serves as chairperson of the Programming and Development Committee for the Illinois Association of School Administrators (IASA) Kishwaukee Region, having been elected by his superintendent peers. His leadership at both the district and regional levels reflects a deep commitment to advancing educational excellence and supporting professional collaboration across Illinois.
In recognition of his leadership, Dr. Lesinski was named the Illinois Association of School Administrators' 2025–26 Kishwaukee Region Superintendent of Distinction, an honor bestowed by his fellow superintendents. He was also named a finalist for Illinois' 2024 Innovative Superintendent of the Year award. These recognitions reflect his commitment to innovative leadership and continuous improvement, including the development of District 155's International Newcomer Academy, the expansion of the district's Career Experience and Certified Apprenticeship programs, and the implementation of a peer teacher coaching program. His emphasis on collaboration, empathy, and active listening continues to foster a professional community that benefits both staff and students.
Dr. Lesinski earned a bachelor's degree in education from Western Illinois University and a master's degree in educational leadership, along with a Type 75 Certification, from Concordia University Chicago. He completed his doctorate in education at Aurora University.
